What to Expect?

Beautiful area of northern Serengeti alomst exclusively for our group!  A unique opportunity to be alone with wildlife in Serengeti!

We plan to spend a maximum amount of time in the field, looking for great sightings, understanding animal behaviour, spending time with wildlife rather than ‘chasing’ species.

We will leave our camp before sunrise, after coffee and a light breakfast, but will return to camps for brunch or as needed – flexibility in our schedule will be a key. It is not a bootcamp, but we also don’t won’t to miss amazing sightings.

While not everyone is a photographer, we will ensure that both, novice and advanced fans of photography, as well as the ‘iPhone shooters’ will have opportunities to capture amazing pictures and video clips.

Destinations and Wildlife at a Glance

The trip will take us to one of the most talked about African ecosystems in the world – the Serengeti National Park. We will visit an amazing Lamai wedge in northernmost part of the Park, close to Kenyan border and famous Maasai Mara Reserve.  We will be outside of the peak mirgation season, when Lamai is almost devoid of tourist, providing a very unique opportunity to enjoy this fantastic ecosystem almost in absolute solitude.  Our luxurious camp is located right next to the famous Mara river and also provides an easy access to fantastic plains of the Lamai wedge. We will spend time with lions, cheetahs and leopards which frequent the area along the Kenyan border and small kopjes on the southern side of the Mara (Kogatende). Opportunity to see serval also exists with some luck and careful approach. General game is plentiful and families of elephants, eland, zebras, giraffes roam freely. Hyenas are present everywhere and always provide some opportunities for interesting inter-species interaction. The area will also be full of local and migratory birds and we definitely will catch some of great sightings.  Massive crocodiles and hippos along the Mara river as well as possible river crossings by elephants, giraffes or other local species will also be our sighting target. Opportunities for amazing wildlife encounters and great photography will be countless and we hope to be there.

To maximize our experience in the Serengeti, we will fly from Kilimanjaro Airport and back via 1.5-2 hr, local flight.

Testimonials

“Artur is an extremely knowledgeable guide who knows the best spots to observe and photograph wildlife in iconic African scenery. He took us to places where sometimes we were the only group to witness leopards climbing out of trees to hunt, lion cubs roughhousing with each other, and cheetahs pursuing antelopes over the grasslands. Migrating wildebeests and zebras surrounded us at times in massive herds that stretched to the horizon. We saw the Big Five, the Ugly Five, and everything in between as Artur tailored each day’s activities to requests from the group, including a visit to the Olduvai Gorge museum of early human fossils and footprints. I highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in Serengeti animals and habitats.”
